Seasonal flowers, hand-painted to last a lifetime
Each month, I release a small collection of seasonal paintings, an expression of the flowers in bloom at that moment.
A note from the studio
In my East Sussex studio, each painting begins with a gathered stem, grown from seed, foraged from hedgerow paths, or sourced from local growers who I’ve come to know over the seasons.
In the tradition of botanical study, I observe the plant as it opens, sketching its form in natural light before oil mixing begins. Pigments are mixed by hand to reflect the living colour of each petal and leaf.
Every painting is a study in seasonality, rooted in the craftsmanship of slow observation and making.
September’s Collection
This collection of soft pink and pale blue celebrate the energy of cosmos and dahlias in the full height of summer.
