Seasonal flowers, hand-painted to last a lifetime

Each month, I release a small collection of seasonal paintings, an expression of the flowers in bloom at that moment.

A note from the studio

In my East Sussex studio, each painting begins with a gathered stem, grown from seed, foraged from hedgerow paths, or sourced from local growers who I’ve come to know over the seasons.

In the tradition of botanical study, I observe the plant as it opens, sketching its form in natural light before oil mixing begins. Pigments are mixed by hand to reflect the living colour of each petal and leaf.

Every painting is a study in seasonality, rooted in the craftsmanship of slow observation and making.

July’s Collection

July’s collection has taken shape as the allotment begins to fill with colour after months of quiet growth. Tiny seeds sown in the cold, early weeks of the year are now in bloom, rising into life.

From the untamed spires of foxglove and Larkspur to the fine scatter of cornflowers and the wispy threads of love in a mist, each flower has been chosen for the distinct character it brings to the season.

Prints

A small collection of paintings has been carefully reproduced as limited edition prints, carefully printed to hold the soft textures and true colours of the originals. On archival paper, they offer a simple, lasting way to bring a little seasonal beauty into your home.
